Just here for the picks? Jump to my 3 heart bottles →

Somewhere past 40 I started paying attention to the boring stuff. Circulation. Blood pressure. The things nobody thinks about until a checkup makes them think about it. These are the three heart supplements I’ve kept buying, and two of them I reorder now without really thinking.
Quick reality check before the pitch: none of this beats the basics. If you’re not moving or sleeping, a capsule won’t save you. I take these on top of the boring fundamentals, not instead of them.
CoQ10, and why the form matters
CoQ10 is the one I’d flag hardest. Your heart burns through more energy than any other muscle in your body, and CoQ10 is part of how your cells actually make that energy. Trouble is, you produce less of it as you get older, and statins knock it down further.
Here’s the part people miss. Buy the ubiquinol version, not the cheaper ubiquinone. Ubiquinol is already in the form your body uses, so you’re not asking a 50-year-old system to convert it first. I’ve rebought this one twice.
Nattokinase, the odd one out
Nattokinase is an enzyme that comes from natto, the fermented soybean dish, and it’s been studied for blood flow. It doesn’t get the attention fish oil does, but it quietly earned a spot in my lineup.
One real warning: if you’re on any blood thinner, do not start this without asking your doctor. That one isn’t boilerplate.
Fish oil, boring and proven
Fish oil is the least exciting thing here and also the most backed by research. Plain old omega-3s for your heart. I went through a couple of brands that gave me the fishy burp, quit, and only stuck with it after I found a lemon one that doesn’t repeat on you.
The picks I keep buying
ZEBORA Ubiquinol CoQ10, 300 mg (my heart-and-energy pick)

The absorbable ubiquinol form at a real dose. Worth it especially if you’re over 40 or on a statin.
Size: 120 softgels
My take: Buy ubiquinol, not the cheaper ubiquinone. It’s already in the form your body uses.
Force Factor Nattokinase, 2000 FU (the circulation enzyme)

The enzyme that snuck into my daily lineup. Studied for blood flow and healthy blood pressure.
Size: 90 vegetable capsules
My take: Ask your doctor first if you’re on blood thinners. Seriously.
Carlson The Very Finest Fish Oil, Lemon (boring and proven)

Clean omega-3s in a lemon liquid. The flavor is the reason I finally stuck with a fish oil instead of quitting over the fishy burp.
Size: 6.7 fl oz liquid
My take: If you only take one thing here, take this.
Quick questions
Ubiquinol or ubiquinone?
Ubiquinol absorbs better, especially as you age. I pay a bit more for it and don’t think twice.
Do I need all three?
No. If you start with one, make it the fish oil. Add CoQ10 after that.
This is my personal routine, not medical advice. Nattokinase and fish oil can both affect bleeding, so talk to your doctor before starting if you take blood thinners or have a procedure coming up.
